Beyers Coetzee Bow Hunting at Mawana
As you will no doubt already appreciate, trophy hunting is about far more that the mounted head on your wall or the size of a particular specimen's horns, as for many, the whole experience includes the smell of the woodsmoke and the memory of days of high adventure complimented by evenings of laughter and story-telling. As such we would like to introduce you to Mawana's Estate Manager, Beyers Coetzee.
Now in his late 20's, Beyers is a former World Field Archery Champion (Beyers won the 1992 Senior World Championship at the age of 18) who would have represented his Country at the Olympics but for South Africa's exclusion from international competition. Equally at home with a Rifle or Bow, Beyers is widely regarded as one of the finest bow-hunters in the world, and his locaion is such that Mawana can offer 'Walk and Stalk' hunting for bow-hunters rather than sitting passively in a blind in ambush!
A keen fisherman, excellent pilot and great company, 'Bey' as he's known offers advice and guidance for novice and experienced bow-hunters alike, delivered sympathetically and with a smile - in short, a great location, excellent facilities, outstanding trophy animals and a friendly, decent host with a warm personality and a great sense of humour!
