The former Farm Buildings at Mawana have recently been comprehensively renovated to include the instalation of Air Conditioning, although compared to many regions of Southern Africa, Kwazulu Natal is quite temperate for the oversea's visitor.
Food and hospitality are equally excellent as Beyers holds court with local visitors being looked after by local Chef 'Bushi' and Resident hostess Anna with most evenings ending with some stimulating chat around a decent fire!
In addition, Mawana have a tented camp situated several miles away from the main complex. This is enclosed with a steel fence due to its locality to the nearby Hippo pool - it's best not to let Hippo Rhino and Elephant have access to your camp, but at Mawana you can still be close enough to experience it in relative safety. There follows a video clip taken by Roo Ellis from our Booking Agents which provides a better idea!
This is a second video shot at Mawana just behind the tented camp, and here you can see our Hippo and more of the environment here at Mawana:
In this final clip, Roo Ellis filmed a drive up through our Koppies towards Mawana Mountain, and along the way we stopped to film this fella!
